Croatian Student Council (CSC) is an umbrella organisation of several local student unions that represent more than 180 000 students in the Republic of Croatia.
CSC consists of:
Student Council of University of Zagreb
Student Council of University of Rijeka
Student Council of University of Split
Student Council of University of Zadar
Student Council of University of Osijek
Student Council of University of Dubrovnik
Student Council of University of Pula
Representative for polytechnics and schools of professional higher education
Student Council of University of Mostar – observer role
CSC is by law responsible for:
- coordination of the work in joint projects of 7 local University student union members, and representation of polytechnics and schools of professional higher education in Croatia
- follow-up and promotion of students interests on the national level
- monitoring the conduction of student regulations
- cooperation with the Higher Education Ministry in the preparation of the laws and regulations regarding students
- taking care of the working conditions in the local student councils
- representing students on the international level by appointing representatives for the international student organizations and other organizations.
By establishing cooperation with higher education institutions and improving the level of student participation in the University representative bodies CSC has become a loyal partner for the stronger development of higher education in Croatia and in the creation of the European Higher Education Area.
Our mission is to represent common student interests and rights in the Republic of Croatia and on the international level.
Our vision is to empower student's voice and provide a firm support for the implementation of the Bologna Process in the higher education of Croatia.
