ACademic Cooperation Europe South east asia Support The project
The ACCESS project aims at strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions from Europe and South East Asia (SEA) in a long-term and sustainable perspective. The project, supported by the Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Commission, will explore the perceptions and expectations of SEA higher Education stakeholders’ towards European higher education systems, promote meaningful higher education partnership schemes, and will support the dialogue process around the common EU-SEA HE area. The slogan of ACCESS is "promote through partnership and mutual-benefit value proposition". ACCESS intends to increase attractiveness of EU Higher Education by facilitating and supporting mutual knowledge and information sharing in a collaboration perspective, that means not through one-way promotion activities but rather through partnership building. Expected results • A survey on SEA HE students and stakeholders’ perceptions towards European Higher education • Three partnership-building events in SEA, aiming at strengthening HE cooperation among the two regions and at validating project’s outcomes, arisen during the research activities • An interactive database of SEA HE stakeholders, with the possibility of sharing information, tools and services among the users • Two seminars to discuss policy options and implementation strategies for EU-SEA HE Cooperation
