On the 21st and 22nd of October, ESIB sent a delegation to Brussels to kick off its Lisbon & Students Project. Over the two days, the delegation, made up of Justin Fenech & Marja-Liisa Alop from the Executive Committee, and Anthony F. Camilleri, Christine Scholz and Koen Geven from CoCo, attended no fewer than 6 meetings with the various stakeholders which have been invited to take part in the project.
In successive meetings with EI, OBESSU, the European Commission, UNICE, EUA and EURASHE, each stakeholder was given an overview of the project, and re-invited to take part in the meetings scheduled for next year. Following the visit, each stakeholder has confirmed their participation for the meetings, meaning that the real discussion can start early next year, for the first time bringing together all actors who are dealing with Lisbon Agenda & Higher Education at a European level, to concretely assess the impact on students and help to ensure that the strategy for growth and jobs brings benefits even to those still within the educational system.
